Early Life and Education
Zuma was born on September 7, 1991, in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa. He grew up in Umlazi, a township near Durban, and spent most of his childhood with his father’s boss, a Caucasian man who lived in the suburbs.
Wanda attended Grosvenor Boys’ High School, where he obtained his matric in 2009. He then studied Performing Arts at Creative Arts College, graduating in 2014. He furthered formal acting training at The South African Film Institute and The Playhouse Company.

Zuma started his career as a theatre actor and playwright. He wrote and acted in two award-winning plays, Mind Games and Black Collar, staged at various festivals and theatres in South Africa.
He debuted on television in 2021 when he landed the role of Nkosi Zwide, the son of fashion mogul Funani Zwide, in House of Zwide, a new telenovela that replaced Rhythm City on e.tv. Wanda has also appeared in films and shows, such as Game of Hearts, Young Adults, and FlipSide. He is also a poet and a musician and has released some of his songs online. In 2023, he played Mawewe in the hit series Shaka Ilembe.
