Early Life and Background
Robot Boii was born on November 19, 1993, in Soweto, Pimville. His real name is Mzwakhe Mthandeni Mzee Ntshengula Mbuli Jr. He is the son of Mzwakhe Mbuli, a renowned poet and former deacon of the Apostolic Church. He grew up listening to traditional songs and is the last born and the only boy in his house.
Robot Boii developed a passion for dancing at a young age. He was inspired by Mad Chad, an American robotics dancer who is known for his viral videos. Robot Boii adopted his stage name from Mad Chad’s nickname. He also learned more dance moves from watching YouTube videos.
Robot Boii started to showcase his talent in high school. He joined a dance crew called Lyrical Sneakers but later left to pursue a solo career. He participated in several dance competitions, such as the South African Dance Company and Urban Dance Competition.

During the Coronavirus Pandemic, he was one of the hosts on Channel O Lockdown Party. Currently, he cohosts Popcorn And Cheese with comedian Mpho Popps in MacG’s Podcast And Chill Network.
In 2023, Robot Boii won the Best Dancer gong at the Trace Africa Awards in Rwanda.

Robot Boii is a fun-loving and outgoing person who enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is also a devout Christian who plays drums at 3C Ministries.
The dancer is also interested in fashion and culture. He likes to dress in colourful and stylish outfits that reflect his personality and mood. Some of his iconic looks paid tribute to late rappers AKA, Ricky Rick and Costa Titch.
