Born in Polokwane, Rami Chuene spent her formative years there, completing her primary and secondary education. However, specifics about her upbringing remain relatively undisclosed.

Chuene’s journey into the entertainment realm commenced during her teenage years while studying at Teknikon Pretoria (now the Tshwane University of Technology). Her commitment to acting led her to leave formal education to seize the burgeoning opportunities that came her way.

Her breakthrough arrived in 1995 with her debut role in Backstage, followed by a notable appearance in Hijack Stories in 2000. Subsequently, she became a prominent figure in various telenovelas and TV shows such as Giyani- Land Of Blood, How To Ruin Christmas, ISONO, The Queen, Harvest, Muvhango, 7de Laan, Scandal!, among others.

Apart from television, she graced the radio waves as the host of ThobelaFM’s jazz show, Jazz Ye Phelago, and later hosted the online radio show #CountryDuty on CliffCentral. She’s also recognized for her involvement in campaigns like Ackerman’s #IAMME, advocating body acceptance, and numerous youth-focused initiatives.

Sung primarily in her native language, Sepedi, the album showcases her singing, producing, and arranging skills. Personal Life

Rami Chuene was once married to fellow actor Tsepo Desando.

After dating for six months, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level and tied the knot. However, their marital journey took an unexpected turn when Rami Chuene made the difficult decision to divorce her husband, Tsepo Desando, shortly after their marriage. Regrettably, her choice to file for divorce in 2017 led to stigmatization from her church, ultimately resulting in her decision to leave the congregation.

Children

From her marriage to Tsepo Desando, Chuene is a proud mother of three daughters: Kefiloe, Nthateng, and Botshelo. Kefiloe tied the knot in 2020, marking a significant milestone in the family’s journey.
