Lungelo Mpangase is a multi-talented South African actress, model, and influencer who has garnered widespread acclaim.

She is best known for her breakthrough lead role as Khethiwe in the captivating Mzansi Magic drama series “eHostela”.

Additionally, she has captivated audiences with her portrayal of Ntokozo in the popular Mzansi Magic series “Mzali Wam”.

She is also known for her role is as Xoli on The Wife.

Age

Mpangase is 28 years old as of October 2023. She was born on 26th September 1995 in Ladysmith, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

Education

As a young girl, Mpangase was captivated by pushing her boundaries and exploring challenging fields. At first, she aspired to become a surgeon, but that dream eventually faded away, leading her to pursue a career in law for her higher education.

In 2013, she enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in law and successfully graduated in 2017. Following her graduation, Lungelo decided to further her knowledge by enrolling in a one-year course in Aviation or Airways Management and operations at EP Aviation training.

Career

Lungelo Mpangase made her mark in the entertainment industry with her remarkable debut lead role as Khethiwe in the Mzansi Magic drama series “eHostela”.

Khethiwe’s inspiring journey as a young woman aspiring to become a maskandi star captivated audiences and showcased Lungelo’s incredible talent and versatility.

Continuing to make her presence felt, Lungelo appeared in the Mzansi original film “Themba Lam”. This captivating film, brought to life by graduates of M-Net’s Magic in Motion Academy, premiered on Mzansi Magic on June 15, 2019.

In the same year, Lungelo also featured in the film “Idlozi”, which aired on Mzansi Magic, further establishing herself as a versatile actress.

In 2021, Lungelo Mpangase landed yet another lead role, this time as Ntokozo, a graduate in search of employment, in the Mzansi Magic drama series “Mzali Wam”.

Once again, Lungelo’s exceptional talent shone through as she breathed life into this compelling character.

In addition to her acting achievements, Lungelo also used her social media platforms to host a bursary competition.

This competition aimed not only to assist students with their tuition but also to encourage aspiring actors to pursue their dreams.

In 2019, Lungelo Mpangase faced a life-threatening situation when she was involved in a car accident that resulted in a severe spinal injury. This unfortunate incident forced her to take a break from work for several months as she focused on her recovery.

However, with determination and resilience, Lungelo eventually made a full recovery and returned to pursue her passion in the entertainment industry.

Physical Altercation With Another Actress on Set

In May 2021, Lungelo Mpangase reportedly encountered a distressing incident on the set of her latest movie in Vosloorus, Gauteng.

It is alleged that she experienced a physical altercation with another actress during filming.
