King Monada, whose real name is Khutso Steven Kgatle, was born on November 25, 1992, in Tzaneen, Limpopo, South Africa. He grew up in Mokgolobotho village near Bolobedu, where he was exposed to music from a young age. He started his music career in 2005 when he joined a local music group called Makhalabje. He later left the group and formed his own record label, King Monada Music, in 2010. The musician gained popularity with his hit songs “Ska Bhora Moreki” (2016), “Benz” (2017), and “Malwedhe” (2018), which went viral on social media and became anthems for many South Africans. He is known for singing in the Khelobedu language, a local dialect of Northern Sotho.
