Katlego Danke is a South African actress, radio DJ, and TV presenter of Tswana descent.
She has gained recognition for her roles in popular South African soap operas such as Backstage, Generations, Gomora, and Isidingo.
Danke was born in the North West province of South Africa on November 7, 1978. (Age 45, as of 2023). She spent her childhood living in various places such as Mahikeng, Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, and Potchefstroom.
Before her television career, Katlego Danke was actively involved in theatre.
In 2001, she graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BA degree in Theatre and Performance.
She gained recognition for her exceptional stage performances in various theatre productions such as Beyond the Veil, The House of Kalumba, The Town that was Mad, Crimes of the Heart, King Lear, Miss Tertiary Feel, Occupational Therapy Project, and an opera performance of Macbeth.
In 2002, Danke began playing a role on e.tv’s Backstage. She then went on to join the cast of Generations in 2006, which earned her a Best Actress award at the South African Film and Television Awards.
Additionally, she has appeared in commercials for well-known brands such as Vanish, Clover, and Honda.
After leaving Generations, Katlego Danke started playing a recurring role on the South African soap opera Isidingo in 2016. Her character on the show is Kgothalo.
Isidingo came to an end on March 12, 2020, after a 21-year run. Before the show’s conclusion, it was announced that Danke would have a leading role in a new South African telenovela called Gomora, which aired on the digital satellite and entertainment channel Mzansi Magic.

Katlego was awarded the Best Actress accolade at the 2010 South Africa Film and Television Awards (SAFTAS) for her portrayal of “Dineo Mashaba” on the TV show Generations.
Katlego Danke’s Son
The actress has always kept her personal life private and she has not disclosed the name of her husband or boyfriend. Despite her desire for privacy, people know that she has a son who was born in 2017.
The father of Katlego Danke’s child is unknown although some rumors point fingers at Patrice Motsepe.
