This is the biography of Jesse Suntele, he is a multi-talented South African actor, model, rapper and television personality. He is best known for his role as Mzi on Rhythm City.

Early Life and Education

Jesse Suntele was born on September 18th, 1992, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He attended Fairsand Primary School for his primary education before relocating to Bloemfontein in grade 4. After completing his matriculation at St. Joseph’s Christian Brothers College, he moved back to Johannesburg to study Sound Engineering at the Academy of Sound Engineering.

Jesse Suntele Career

In 2013, Jesse Suntele made his breakthrough into the entertainment industry as a contestant on the SABC 1 reality competition “U Can Do It,” landing a spot in the Top 10. The following year, he secured his first credited television acting role in the season finale of the SABC 1 documentary-drama “Ngempela.”

His career gained momentum in 2015 with a guest appearance on SABC 1’s “Generations: The Legacy” and a recurring role on the e.tv soapie “Ashes to Ashes.” In 2016, Suntele clinched victory in the second season of BET’s “Top Actor Africa,” catapulting him into the spotlight. He then debuted on the Mzansi Magic telenovela “The Queen” as Tuelo, showcasing his versatility by portraying a dual identity character.

In 2017, Suntele expanded his repertoire by hosting BET’s entertainment and variety show “BET A-List” and participating in Vuzu Amp’s reality competition “The Hustle” under the moniker “J-Flo.” His performance earned him a nomination for Hunk of the Year at the Feather Awards.

Transitioning to primetime television, Suntele joined the cast of the e.tv soapie “Rhythm City” in 2018, embodying the character of Nqaba. Most recently, in 2022, he joined the cast of the South African Netflix drama series “Savage Beauty” as Phila Bhengu.

Jesse Suntele Music
