Gabriel Temudzani is a multi-talented South African actor, TV presenter, and MC known for his impeccable acting skills and ability to captivate audiences. Gabriel began acting in 1995 and made his professional debut in 2000. He is popularly known for his role as Chief Azwindini Mukwevho on the SABC2 soapie dubbed Muvhango.

Gabriel Temudzani was born on 10 February 1980 in Tshivhilidulu, Nzhelele area, Venda, in South Africa. While growing up in Nzhelele, Gabriel discovered his passion for farming. He pursued his passion by undertaking a course in agriculture and even inherited a farm from his father. Gabriel’s passion for acting began after one of his high school teachers enrolled him in drama classes. When he left Limpopo for Gauteng, Gabriel discovered that he needed to learn English as he was experiencing a language barrier.

Gabriel Temudzani was married to Refilwe Temudzani. The couple tied the knot in 2013, and in 2017, they publicly celebrated their 4th anniversary. However, before their wedding, the duo had been together for seven years. Despite their love, the couple separated and cited irresolvable marital issues as the cause. Gabriel has a son who is in his custody.

Gabriel started his acting career in 1995 but rose to prominence in 2000 upon making his screen acting debut. In 2003, he played a role in the feature film A Diamond and Destiny, a story about the discovery of diamonds and gold in Kimberly. In 2009, he landed a lead role in the movie dubbed Night Drive. He then appeared in the show dubbed The Dog and The Night of Horror, where he won a Vita award.
He has played different roles in different films and television shows. Gabriel Temudzani’s movies include The Dog and the Night of Horror as himself, Muvhango (2000) playing the lead role as Chief Azwindini, A Diamond and the Destiny (2003), Night Drive (2009), and La Familia (2010) as himself.

He announced his departure from the show on Monday, 8 May 2023. According to him, leaving the show was an emotional roller coaster, and he plans to travel, spend time with his family and watch Muvhango from a distance.
He also thanked the viewers for their support and said they made the show what it is today. He said some of his favourite moments on the show were when his character was fighting for justice, family, and love. He said he would miss the family element and the jokes with his co-stars. He also reflected on how he brought reality to his character and made him iconic.
