Early Life

Felo Le Tee was born and raised in Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga, South Africa. During his teenage years, he relocated to Atteridgeville in Pretoria.

Stage Name

The stage name “Felo Le Tee” has a personal significance to the artist. He derived “Felo” from the last four letters of his name, Tsholofelo, and “Le Tee” from his grandmother’s name, Lettie Mokhine. Felo credits his grandmother for playing a significant role in shaping him into the man he is today.

Early Music Career

Felo Le Tee’s musical journey began at the age of 14 when he started as a DJ. His uncle, Abby, mentored him and taught him the art of mixing and DJing. Initially, Felo used cassette tapes, playing on both sides with one on cue. As technology progressed, he transitioned to digital DJing before venturing into vinyl records.

Under the guidance of his mentor, Thobejan, Felo Le Tee explored vinyl DJing and eventually embraced CDJs, the current industry standard. Alongside his passion for DJing, Felo developed an interest in music production. Tshegofatso Teffo became his production mentor, introducing him to the world of music production.

After completing matric (high school), Felo intended to study music but faced challenges in finding suitable avenues or schools. Consequently, he pursued sound technology studies at Damelin. However, his true passion lay in music production, and after completing his studies, he focused on refining his craft.

Felo Le Tee gained recognition with his demo album titled “Home Land,” which featured the track “Excitement.” This caught the attention of DJ Tira, who requested its inclusion in DJ Cndo’s album “Finest Lady Volume 5” under the prominent record label Afrotainment. Felo subsequently released his work on Traxsource, including collaborations with esteemed artists such as Oscar P and James Nylon.

Collaborations and Record Labels

Felo Le Tee’s talent and musical genius have earned him the admiration of many. DJ Maphorisa, in particular, has played a significant role as his mentor. Felo taught himself various aspects of music production and DJing, garnering attention and becoming a fan favorite.

The Amapiano star is associated with three record labels: Open Bar Music, Elottie Music Records (ZA), and New Money Gang. Throughout his career, Felo has collaborated with notable artists, including DJ Maphorisa, Mellow, Sleazy, and Myztro.


Felo Le Tee has an extensive discography that includes albums, EPs, and singles. As of the time of writing, he has released six albums:
